There
is a Festival Evensong on Sunday 15th at 7 pm when the guest preacher
is the Rev. Dr. Mark Cartledge.
Every one is warmly invited to join us at this service to celebrate the 31st
flower festival. A Songs of Praise service to conclude the festival takes place
at 7.30 pm on Tuesday 17th July.
A special additional
attraction is the opening of Ludstone Hall Gardens on Sunday 15th
July courtesy of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Smith. Ludstone Hall is a moated Jacobean
manor house one and a half miles from the village centre.
The gardens are
open from 10.00 to 5.00. The gardens do not open to the public on any other
occasion.
The
house was built in 1607. The grounds include a Victorian knot garden, a medieval
monastic fish pool, a walled kitchen garden, 1870 coach house streams and a
lake.
The entrance fee is £ 2.50 for Adults, 50p for Children.
All proceeds are for All Saints Church, Claverley.
